BOLEO GLOBAL developed an audiovisual production and historical dissemination project aimed at highlighting the figure of Bernardo de Gálvez, a key figure in the independence of the United States and an important historical reference in international relations between Spain and North America.
The initiative sought to bring to the public the political, military, and strategic dimensions of Bernardo de Gálvez, emphasizing his contribution to Spanish support during the American War of Independence, as well as his role in the institutional and territorial development of Louisiana and Mexico City.
The project took shape through the production of a historical and institutional documentary-style video designed for cultural, educational, and communication purposes, with the objective of strengthening awareness of Spanish historical figures with international relevance.
Born in Macharaviaya (Málaga), Bernardo de Gálvez is considered one of the leading Spanish figures of 18th-century Atlantic history. His military and logistical support for the North American independence forces played a decisive role in the British defeat in the Gulf of Mexico and the southern territories of North America.
His leadership during the capture of Pensacola and his well-known expression “Yo Solo” (“I Alone”), a symbol of initiative and determination, continue to represent an example of strategic leadership and the ability to mobilize others.
In recognition of his historical contribution, Bernardo de Gálvez was named an Honorary Citizen of the United States, becoming one of the few foreign figures whose portrait is displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
The project aimed to recover and project this historical legacy as a cultural and institutional bridge between Andalusia, Spain, and the United States.
BOLEO GLOBAL led the design, development, and full production of the audiovisual initiative, assuming responsibilities including:
