Strengthening the School of Judicial Studies

Strengthening the Criminal Law Judicial Training Model for the Guatemalan Judiciary

Project Description

BOLEO GLOBAL led the design and implementation of an institutional strengthening project for the School of Judicial Studies of the Guatemalan Judiciary, aimed at modernizing and improving specialized criminal law training for judicial personnel.

The consultancy was structured around three main objectives:

  • design and implementation of the Criminal Law Educational Model,

  • assessment of training needs in criminal law matters,

  • and design and implementation of a pilot training program aligned with the new educational model.

The project strengthened the institution’s training capacities through innovative methodological tools, specialized content, and audiovisual educational resources.

BOLEO GLOBAL’s Role

BOLEO GLOBAL assumed the technical leadership and overall coordination of the project, carrying out:

  • the methodological design of the educational model,

  • institutional and training needs assessments,

  • development of training contents and programs,

  • production of audiovisual educational materials,

  • and implementation of virtual training processes.

The intervention exceeded the initially expected results, generating highly valuable contributions for the School of Judicial Studies and supporting the modernization of its continuous training processes.

Judicial Training and Audiovisual Resources

One of the project’s main components was the development of practical training tools adapted to the judicial environment, incorporating participatory methodologies and digital resources.

As part of the initiative, a series of nine educational audiovisuals was produced, along with a comprehensive virtual course on the jurisdiction of justices of the peace regarding less serious crimes.
